“Levante e brilhe!”, or Rise and shine! Ilha Feliz Tours invites you to explore the stunning northwest region of the island. Your adventure begins with a pleasant stroll through the banana plantations along the ‘Vereda de Nateiro’ in the charming coastal town of Madalena do Mar.

Leaving the southwest coast behind, you’ll journey to the enchanting ‘Fanal Forest’, a primeval wonder perched at an altitude of 1,150 meters. This magical forest is one of the last laurel forests on the planet and holds a prestigious place on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Next, you’ll head to the northern coast of Madeira, where you’ll discover ‘Seixal’. This area is famous for its striking black sand beaches, framed by rugged rocks and lush green mountains, all contrasting beautifully with the clear blue waters of the sea. Seixal is a haven for cliff divers and surfers alike, making it a perfect spot for thrill-seekers. You can also enjoy lunch at one of the local eateries, where you can gaze out at the ocean (lunch not included).

After your meal, the journey continues to the northeastern tip of the island: ‘Porto Moniz’.  On the way to Porto Moniz, visit the Miradouro Ilheus da Ribeira da Janela. Ilheus da Ribeira da Janela is an epic coastal spot with a number of truly remarkable rock formations just a few meters from the coast.

In Porto Moniz you’ll find two natural pools, just a short walk from one another. The first pool is free and offers a more rustic experience, while the second pool charges a small fee (€3 pp) but offers additional amenities. Both pools are stunning in their own right, surrounded by towering black lava rock formations that enhance Madeira’s dramatic natural beauty.

Your day concludes at a breathtaking viewpoint on the steep cliffs of the island’s western side: ‘Ponta do Pargo’. Ilha Feliz Tours ensures you end your day in a serene spot, far from the crowds, allowing you to soak in the beauty of this remarkable place.
